Programs

SHED’s students and faculty engage in programming, research, and policy initiatives to strengthen communities, address inequalities, and affect positive health outcomes. We form strategic partnerships with community groups, government agencies, non-profit, and academics to harness the power of sport and physical activity toward cultural enrichment, social justice, and positive community-defined public health outcomes. To date, SHED affiliated students and faculty have offered over 30,000 service hours to 20 community partners with more than 3,000 Florida State University students working in and with communities to provide sport and physical activity to more than 10,000 clients and community members from around the region.
